Miata Front Brake Conversion
Vented front brakes are a very common and worthwhile upgrade for a DeLorean of any power level. However, the current offering uses proprietary rotors and calipers, with expensive replacements. Servicing the rotor also calls for removing the wheel bearing.
This is a solution developed by LSDelorean that allows any NA/NB Mazda Miata brake rotor and caliper to bolt directly to the DeLorean. No invasive modifications required, this simply bolts on. You can use stock replacement calipers and rotors, or upsized big brake kits with large rotors and multi piston calipers. The limit is your wheel size!
Retains use of the stock angle drive.
Kit includes:
-
Brackets, spacers, hubs/bearings, dust caps, hub-centric rings, brake lines, and hardware.
Kit requires: (approx. $200 from Rock Auto)
-
2x 1.8L Mazda Miata Front Calipers
-
1x 1.8L Mazda Miata Front Brake pads
-
2x Mazda Miata Rotors (10")

Wilwood Front Brake Conversion

When installing the stock 15" DMC wheels up front, modifications can be made to the kit to decrease the hub face width, allowing for the wider wheel. Please inquire.
When installing larger wheels, consider upsizing your rotor to take full advantage of these offerings. (14 ~ 10", 15 ~ 11", 16 ~ 12")
